Deborah J. “Debby” Magdaleno

Deborah Jean “Debby” Magdaleno, 70, of Sedalia, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2022 at her home.

She was born November 15, 1951, in Madison, SD, daughter of Mary Lou (Larson) Bauman.

Debby was a 1970 graduate of Carson High School in Carson, CA. While living in California, she was a homemaker until her daughter was in high school. She and her partner bought, remodeled and sold homes for a number of years. Since 2001, she owned and operated Bowser’s Bath House in Sedalia.

She loved all animals, especially horses, dogs and cats. She enjoyed volunteering at the Sedalia Animal Shelter, attending horse shows and dog shows, training dogs, gardening, decorating her home and being a homemaker.

Debby was very people oriented and will be remembered as a good role model, strong, and an excellent mother.

She is survived by her daughter, Julie Malicek, of Kansas City, MO; and four brothers.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

A Celebration of Debby’s Life will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Heckart Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until service time.

Memorial contributions are suggested to The Sedalia Animal Shelter in care of Heckart Funeral Home.
