David A. Smith
David Allen Smith, 67, of Sedalia, died Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Fair View Nursing Home.
He was born December 26, 1955, in Sedalia, son of Paul Barnabas Smith and Anna Elizabeth (Shull) Smith.
David served in the United States Army. He lived near Quincy, IL for many years before moving back to Sedalia. He enjoyed Civil War re-enactments and Native American artifacts.
Surviving are his mother, Anna Smith, of Sedalia; three siblings, Barbara O’Brien, of Cole Camp, Steven “Joe” Smith, of Sedalia, and Edward Smith, of Sedalia; twelve nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Paul B. Smith, and a brother, Paul D. Smith.
David was cremated and burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 5, 2023.
Arrangements are in the care of Heckart Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
