Dale Oakes

Dale Eugune Oakes, 77, of Sedalia, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2024 at the Missouri Veterans Home in Warrensburg.

He was born August 19, 1947 in Iowa City, IA, a son of Maxey Burr and Irene Myra (Eister) Oakes.

Dale worked at the International Shoe Factory in Windsor, and then he worked as a crane operator for the American Pressed Steel. He honorably served in the United States Army during Vietnam. Dale enjoyed panning for gold, whittling, fishing and hunting.

Survivors include one son, Bruce Oakes; one step-son, Scott Hughes; two sisters, Maxine Garrett, and Bonnie Oakes.

In addition to both of his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Judy K. Oakes; and one daughter, Sondra Mullins.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at the Missouri Veterans Home Chapel in Warrensburg. Inurnment will following the service at Hopewell Cemetery in Sedalia. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Missouri Veterans Home in Warrensburg. Arrangements are in the care of Heckart Funeral Home in Sedalia, MO.
