Rev. Colin Trevor Ward, 76, of Sedalia, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Rest Haven Convalescent and Retirement Home.

He was born June 22, 1947, in Texarkana, AR, son of James and Eileen (Chambers) Ward.

On August 19, 1994, in Sedalia, he was united in marriage to Rev. Carol Sue Willadsen, who preceded him in death on December 22, 2015.

Rev. Ward earned a Master of Divinity degree from the St. Paul’s School of Theology. He served as a minister in Methodist, Lutheran and Episcopal churches. Prior to that, he worked twenty years in public service as a fireman, policeman and paramedic in San Francisco, and did carpentry work on the side. Colin enjoyed woodworking and blacksmithing and was skilled with his hands. He was a loving man who enjoyed visiting with people and had a great sense of humor.

Surviving are two children, Colleen Ward, of Ridgeland, SC, and Suzanne Ward, of Nashville, AR; three stepdaughters, Andrea Eppenauer (Tim), of Sedalia, Shari Cunningham, of St. Louis, and Julie Willadsen (Greg), of Sedalia; two grandchildren, Alex and Allison; two sisters, Joyce and Vanessa; and three brothers, Terry, James and Randy.

In addition to his wife, Carol, he was preceded in death by his parents, Eileen and James Ward.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at Christ and Trinity Lutheran Church, with Pastor Anne Meredith-Kyle officiating.

Memorials are suggested to Christ and Trinity Lutheran Church.

Cremation arrangements are in the care of Heckart Funeral Home.
