Cheryl Ann Boatcher

Cheryl Ann Boatcher, 65, of Sedalia, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2023 at her home.

She was born June 7, 1958, in Sedalia, daughter of the late Donald and Betty (Paradise) Smith. On May 23, 1982, in Sedalia, she married Olan August Boatcher, Jr. who survives of the home.

She worked at Town and Country Shoes for 15 years. She then worked 20 years at First Student Transportation and drove Bus 116 for the Sedalia School system. She touched many lives and always gave the kids special attention.

She was a member of Ozark Tabernacle in Cole Camp.

She enjoyed many kinds of crafts and piddling in her yard. However, she considered her grandchildren her favorite hobby of all. She knew the meaning of tough love, was always willing to help and looked for the best in people.

In addition to her husband, Olan, Cheryl survived by a son, Austin Boatcher, of Sedalia; four grandchildren, Connor, Caylee, Karson and Kayson; four siblings, Roger Smith, Donna Tompkins, Brenda Crabb and Beverly Vinson; and close family, Anna Reine and Jack Morrison.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving daughter, Amy Ann Boatcher; maternal grandparents, Ken and Ann Paradise; and paternal grandparents, Fred and Devona Smith.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Heckart Funeral Home with Pastor Ed Vansell officiating.

Visitation will be 9:00 am until service time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the family in care of Heckart Funeral Home.
