Charles S. Henderson

Charles Steven “Pete” “Steve” Henderson, 71, of Smithton, passed away Monday, January 15, 2024 at his home.

He was born September 5, 1952, in Sedalia, son of the late Charles E. “Ted” and Emogene (Willis) Henderson, and Norma Henderson.

He was a 1970 graduate of Smithton High School. He was owner/operator of Henderson Concrete Construction.

Pete enjoyed fishing, playing cards, listening to music, and watching game shows and Westerns. He loved being around his family and was known for his orneriness.

Survivors include three sons, Bryon Henderson (Casey), Brad Henderson (Valerie) and Clint Henderson (Leslie), all of Smithton; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a sister, Sherry Henderson Summers, of Branson; and a special friend, Linda Shepherd.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Norma; and two sisters, Debbie Jean Davis and Donna Deann Henderson.

Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Heckart Funeral Home.

Graveside services will follow at 2:00 pm Thursday, January 18, 2024 at IOOF Cemetery, Otterville.

Pallbearers will be Bryon Henderson, Brad Henderson, Clint Henderson, Tyler Henderson, Drake Henderson and Logan Henderson.

Arrangements are under the direction of Heckart Funeral Home.
