Charlene L. Brown

Charlene LaVonne “Charlee” Brown, 88, of Sedalia, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center.

She was born January 20, 1936, in Sedalia, daughter of Charles Milton and Willa Zelda (Payne) Laudenberger.

She was married to Mitcheal Brown and he preceded her in death in 2003.

Charlee was a high school English, journalism, and business teacher, with most of her years in Hudson, WI. She took pride in being the yearbook advisor. She attained two Master’s degrees.

She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Charlee enjoyed photography, playing bridge, and was an avid NASCAR fan. She will be remembered for her good sense of humor.

Surviving is her brother, Jerry Laudenberger (Sue), of Sedalia.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Laudenberger.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at Calvary Baptist Church, with Pastor Jonathan Wallenbeck officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the church.

Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery.
