Catherine Anne Lamm, 94, of Sedalia, passed away Monday, August 4, 2025, at her home.
She was born on September 26, 1930, in Washington, D.C. a daughter of James and Evelyn (Lohr) Mentges. On March 4, 1950, in Washington, D.C. she married Beasmore Lamm who preceded her in death on November 25, 2009.
Anne worked briefly for the Immigration Services after high school before embarking on a lifelong journey of love and devotion with her husband.
Anne was a devout Catholic and was a faithful member of the Saint Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, Sacred Heart Chapel. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her in all that she did.
Anne found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a deep love for gardening and spent countless hours tending to her flowers and working in her yard. She was also an accomplished home baker and enjoyed canning, crocheting, and filling her home with the warmth of homemade meals and handmade creations.
More than anything, Anne cherished her family. She took immense pride in being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her greatest accomplishment was the love she poured into her family and the lasting bonds she nurtured across generations.
Survivors include three children, Pamela Beissenherz and her husband Ted of Sedalia, Teresa Bryson and her husband Sid of Platte City, and Robert Lamm and his wife Lisa of Sedalia; 9 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
In addition to both of her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by one son, John Jay Lamm, III; two brothers, James and Joseph Mentges.
A private family graveside service will be held at a later date at Highland Sacred Gardens Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Sacred Heart Foundation.
