Sedalia

Carol Sue Rush, 61, of Sedalia, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at her home.

She was born on May 6, 1964, in Leavenworth, KS, a daughter of Charles Frederick and Marjorie Louise (Streit) Rush.

Carol worked for many years as a dedicated cashier at Walmart, where she greeted countless customers with a friendly fac. Her work ethic and compassion were evident in every interaction, and she formed many lasting friendships over the years.

In her free time, Carol enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. She loved watching television, especially The Golden Girls and programs on the Lifetime channel. She had a deep appreciation for horror and mystery movies, always drawn to a good story and a thrilling plot. She also cherished being outdoors, often taking peaceful walks and hikes to enjoy the beauty of nature.

More than anything, Carol loved her family. She treasured every moment spent with them, and her greatest joy came from being with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Whether it was sharing laughs, stories, or quiet moments, her love for them was endless and unconditional.

Survivors include two sons, Justin Rush of Sedalia, Cory Fryman, of Noble, OK; two siblings, Michael Rush (Mindy) of Horton, KS, and Vickey Cadue (Fred) of Versailles, MO; four grandchildren, Bella Lowe, Leah Fryman, Jaden Fryman, and Bryson Fryman.

In addition to both of her parents she was preceded in death by one infant brother, Charles Rush.
