Carol Esther Mettler Warakomski
Carol Esther Mettler Warakomski, 84, of Warrensburg, formerly of Sedalia, passed away Friday, September 18, 2020 at Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.
Carol was born March 7, 1936 in Montrose, MO, a daughter of Clarence F. and Helen M. (Witmer) Mettler. On May 31, 1977 in Sedalia, she married John Stephen Warakomski and he preceded her in death on November 3, 1995.
Carol was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and attended the Sacred Heart Chapel. She worked most of her career as a real estate broker. Carol will be remembered for the time she enjoyed gardening, working in her yard, and embroidering.
Survivors include five children, Cindy Davis, Connie Ennis, Kristin Lewis all of Warrensburg, Rick Crouch (Jenny) of Radcliff, KY, Sharon Crouch of Sedalia, two brothers, Mark Mettler of Lee’s Summit, Marvin Mettler (Ruby) of Duncan, OK; two sisters, Clarice Dove and Cherry Grimes both of Green Ridge; 16 grandchildren, and 32 great-grandchildren.
In addition to both of her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by a son, John Crouch and his wife Jonny S. “Susie” Crouch; one daughter, Linda Kifer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday, September 21, 2020 at the Sacred Heart Chapel of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time at the church.
Pallbearers will be Mark Mettler, Travis Prenger, Dr. Adam Lewis, Robert Freund, Shawn Davis, Eric Crouch and Les Bolenbaugh.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Due to Covid masks are required at the church during the visitation and service.
Arrangements are in the care of Heckart Funeral Home.
