Bonnie G. Von Holten

Bonnie G. Von Holten, 91, formerly of Phillipsburg, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at Glasgow Gardens in Glasgow, Missouri.

She was born on March 21, 1934, in Wayne County, North Carolina, the daughter of the late John Thomas and Fannie (Woodle) Howell. On May 21, 1958, Bonnie was united in marriage to Leon Henry Von Holten in Emporia, Virginia. He preceded her in death on December 16, 2017.

A devoted homemaker, Bonnie was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Camdenton. She will be remembered for her baking, her love of sweets, and her quilting. An avid reader and gardener, she also had an affection for cats, and enjoyed caring for green plants.

Survivors include her son, Neil Von Holten and his wife Sheryl, of Sedalia; two granddaughters, Amy and Mary; and a brother, John “Tommy” Howell.

In addition to her husband and parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by two sons, Gary Von Holten and Craig Von Holten.

A memorial will be held at a later date when Bonnie is laid to rest at the Our Savior Lutheran Church columbarium in Camdenton.

Cremation arrangements are under the care of Heckart Funeral Home, Sedalia, Missouri.
