Bobby J. “Bob” Richards
Bobby J. “Bob” Richards, 83, of Sedalia, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center.
He was born March 12, 1938 in Smithton, a son of the late Lewis Washington and Goldie Iness (Jackson) Richards. On July 23, 1977, he married Pearl Glover, who preceded him in death on April 13, 2007.
Bob’s hobbies included hunting, fishing and gardening. He never met a stranger and enjoyed good times drinking beer and partying with friends.
Survivors include three children Bobby J. Richards, Kathy Richards and Mary (Richards) Nandho; ten grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Bobby Lynn (Richards) Gooch; three sisters, Bonnie Frances Richards, Goldie Goodson and Dorothy Dinkey; and two brothers, Kenneth Richards and Louis Richards, who died at birth.
A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 2 , 2021 at Heckart Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until service time. Honorary pallbearers will be Nick Gooch, Jake Driskell, Bobby Richards, Jr. Cody Driskell, Brian Driskell, Josh Burnett and Aaron Lorenz.
Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association in care of Heckart Funeral Home.
