William Roy “Bill” Dow, 74, of Sedalia, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at Ridge Crest Nursing Home in Warrensburg.
Bill was born on March 11, 1952, in Sedalia, Missouri, a son of Lee Ernest, Sr. and Esther Matilda (Mittelhauser) Dow.
For many years, Bill worked for Fantasia Confections in Sedalia, and later worked as a meat cutter at Alwell's in Warrensburg until his retirement.
Outside of work, Bill found his greatest joy on the family farm, where he enjoyed raising watermelons and cantaloupes each summer. He loved spending time outdoors tending to his crops and sharing the fruits of his labor with family and friends. Bill was an avid sports fan who could often be found watching his favorite teams compete or cheering on the drivers during NASCAR races. He also enjoyed bowling, golfing, and the fellowship that came with both activities.
Bill was a member of the Sedalia Elks Lodge and was formerly a member of the Sedalia Moose Lodge.
Survivors include two children, Camie Stasiak and her husband Mike of Overland Park, KS, William Dow, Jr. and his wife Rachel of Knob Noster, MO; three grandchildren, Audrey Stasiak, Liam and Claire Dow.
In addition to both of his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Lee Ernest “Ernie” Dow, Jr., Frank Dow; one sister, Ella Louise Kreisel.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Georgetown United Methodist Church.
