Betty Marie Callahan, 87, of Sedalia, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2023 at her home.
She was born on March 1, 1936 in Sedalia, MO, a daughter of Roy and Pearl (Carver) Greer. On October 29, 1955, she married the love of her life Dennis Callahan.
Betty was a 1954 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School. Betty had at one time ran a tanning salon in Sedalia and she enjoyed reading.
Survivors include two sons, Michael Callahan and Dennis Callahan both of Sedalia; family member and caregiver, Vida Grandfield; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Betty was preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband Dennis, and one son Patrick Callahan.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at Crown Hill Cemetery. Casual attire is welcome. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Sedalia Animal Shelter. Arrangements are in the care of Heckart Funeral Home in Sedalia, MO.
