Barbara Anne Pile

Barbara Anne Pile, 73, of Sedalia, passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.

She was born August 25, 1952, in Sedalia, daughter of Wayne and Lela (Buffon) Byrd.

On December 27, 1987, at Marshall Junction, she was united in marriage to Lynn O. Pile, who preceded her in death on January 18, 2002.

Barbara worked as a registered nurse at Bothwell Regional Health Center for 22 years. She was a member of the NRA. She enjoyed embroidery, traveling, and going to the casino.

Surviving are two daughters, Connie Roll and Amber Kuhns; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Carolyn Miller and Anita Parish; her brother-in-law, Dale Kortum; and her sister-in-law, Denise Byrd.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, LeAndra Casdorph; a sister, Janet Kortum; and two brothers, Roger Byrd and David Byrd.

The family will receive friends beginning at 3:00 pm Monday, October 13, 2025 at Heckart Funeral Home with memorial services to follow at 4:00 pm.

Family and friends are invited to a meal following the memorial service in the Heckart Family Center.

Private burial will be in Longwood Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to Open Door Food Pantry or Community Café in care of Heckart Funeral Home.
