Barbara L. Scarborough
Barbara L. Scarborough, 73, of Smithton, passed away Thursday, October 3, 2019 at her home.
She was born July 5, 1946 in Kansas City, MO, a daughter of Robert LeRoy and Evelyn (Neuwell) Daniels. On September 21, 1963 in Blue Springs, MO, she married John Henry Scarborough, who survives of the home.
Barbara was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Blue Springs Chapter. She worked many years as a CNA around the area. Barbara enjoyed fishing, mowing, being outdoors and site seeing. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and watching them grow.
Survivors include her husband, John of the home; five children, Leigha Marie Riott of Independence, MO, Susan Ruth Tweedy (Jeremy) of Independence, MO, Laura Shannon Harmon (Steven, Sr.) of Green Ridge, MO, John W.M. Scarborough (Doris) of Holt, MO and Paul Jacob Scarborough (Tasha) of Smithton, MO; 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, Danny Ray Daniels of Milford, OH; one sister, Joanie of Michigan.
In addition to both of her parents she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Heaven Leigh Riott.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, October 12, 2019 at the Heckart Funeral Home in Sedalia.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to American Lung Association or Benton County Hospice.
