Barbara D. Parker, 72, of Sedalia, passed away Sunday, December 26, 2021, at Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center.
Born February 11, 1949, in South Kingston, Rhode Island, she was one of two daughters of Walter M. and Helen I. (Tanner) Stanton.
Barbara was a homemaker. She was an active member of Discover Church. She was a social butterfly and liked everybody she met. She especially loved her grandbabies and great-grandbabies. Her hobbies included crocheting, baking and playing Bingo.
Surviving are her daughter, Becky Smith, of Sedalia; four grandchildren, Shara, Richard, Briana and Jasya; and five great-grandchildren, Jayden, Lacey, Micah, Lili and Michael.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Gladys Billingsley; and son-in-law, Thomas Smith.
A visitation and viewing will be held from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Heckart Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to the family.
