Audie F. Peters
Audie Francis Peters, 76, of Sedalia, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, September 9, 2020, at Fair View Nursing Home, after a battle with cancer.
Born April 26, 1944, in Sedalia, he was one of nine children of John Ernest and Orr Mae (Campbell) Peters.
On December 5, 1969, in Sedalia, he was united in marriage to Nancy Jane (Anglin). The union was blessed with one son, Andrew. Audie and Nancy enjoyed 43 years together before her death on June 21, 2013.
Audie worked at Swift & Company. He enjoyed walking his dogs, watching crime shows and listening to gospel music. Audie loved life. He was a very generous person who would help anyone who needed and always offered an ear to listen or a shoulder to lean on.
Surviving are a son, Andrew Peters, of Sedalia; a brother, Larry Peters, of Rockford, IL; and two sisters, Bessie Dumsday, of Tipton, and Wilma Thomas, of Battlefield.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Gerald, William, Jerry, John and Ernest Peters.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 14, 2020, at Crown Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the family or Cancer Perks.
