Anita L. Bunch, 85, of Sedalia, passed away Friday, March 15, 2024, at Boone Hospital in Columbia.

She was born September 4, 1938, in Sedalia, a daughter of the late Elmer Roy and Anita Bernice (Aven) Grinstead. She was married to John David Bunch, who preceded her in death.

Anita worked at White’s Cleaners for more than 30 years. 

She was an active lifetime, charter member of the American Legion and enjoyed every Thursday for Bingo night. She was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary.

She enjoyed playing Keno, motorcycle riding with her husband, and loved children.

Survivors include a brother, Roger Grinstead (Marie Antoinette), of Eugene, OR; cousins Loretta Kendrick, John Grinstead and Larry Grinstead; nephew, Michael Grinstead; nieces, Kaliah Williams, Maria Shade and Susan Haffner; and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at Heckart Funeral Home, with Rev. Jeremy Freeman officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Bond, Mike Louck, Beau Williams, Michael Grinstead, Carl Walters and Ty Magnuson.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

Private burial will be in Highland Sacred Gardens.

Memorial contributions are suggested to American Legion Post 642, in care of Heckart Funeral Home.
