Alberta Jean Schultz, 86, passed away February 21, 2023 peacefully at her home in Macomb, Illinois surrounded by her family.

She was born July 9, 1936 in Verona, Missouri to Dominic F and Theresa Stark Sperandio.

She is predeceased by her parents, husband of 57 years, Louis A Schultz, Brothers, Edward and Donald Sperandio, sister Virginia Craft and son-in-law Timothy C Sullivan.

Survivors include children Theresa (Maurice) Frear, Chesapeake, Virginia; Anthony (Margaret) Schultz, Cole Camp, Missouri; Cynthia Sullivan, Macomb, Illinois; Geralyn (Stephen) Gray, Macomb, Illinois; Timothy (Amanda) Schultz, Sedalia, Missouri; Francis (Lori) Schultz, Smithton, Missouri; 20 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, sister Evelyn (Robert) Stribling and brother John (Linda) Sperandio both of Monett, Missouri, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Alberta graduated from Monett High School where she met Louie. They later married on September 20, 1955 in Verona, Missouri. She excelled in baton twirling, won the state championship and taught baton twirling for many years, while raising her family with grace and a wonderful sense of humor. As much as she loved her children it was her grand and great grandchildren who totally captivated her heart. She was employed by JC Penny for many years.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul Church, Macomb, Illinois; St. Vincent De Paul Parish, Sedalia, Missouri, or MDH Hospice at McDonough District Hospital.

Visitation will be held at 12 noon and the funeral Mass will follow at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 25, 2023, both at St Paul Church in Macomb, Illinois. Dodsworth, Piper, Wallen Funeral is handling the arrangements.

Visitation will be held 11:00-noon, Monday, February 27, 2023 at Heckart Funeral Home. Burial and graveside service will follow at 1:00 pm at Calvary Cemetery.

Local arrangements are under the direction of Heckart Funeral Home.
