Aaron C. Hunton

Aaron Clark Hunton, 47, of Sedalia, passed away suddenly Sunday evening, January 29, 2023, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

He was born May 24, 1975, in Kansas City, a son of Gerald C. and Faye (Rozier) Hunton. He found the love of his life, and on November 13, 2010, in Sedalia, he married Melissa N. Phillips.

Aaron was a 1993 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School and graduated from UCM with an MBA. He owned and operated Game Zone Comics & Games.

Aaron never met a stranger and could talk to anybody about anything. He had a quick wit, loved to make people laugh, and could lighten the mood in any situation. He was a collector of all things and loved playing games with family. The thing he enjoyed most was being a daddy to his five children. He will be remembered as charismatic, loving, and funny.

He was a member of Parkview Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Melissa, of the home; five children, Austin Hunton (Sasha), Samuel Hunton, Noah Hunton, Isaiah Hunton and Levi Hunton; his parents, Gerald and Faye Hunton, of Sedalia; and grandchildren, Alphonse, Jasper and Elliot (who is on the way).

He was preceded in death by a brother, Daren Mark, his identical twin who was stillborn.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2023, at Heckart Funeral Home, with Rev. Rodney Brown officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be Austin Hunton, Sam Hunton, Scott Kinder, Craig Phillips, William Schick, Bill Montgomery, Mike Reid and Rick Perriguey.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 3, 2023, at the funeral home.
