Esther L. Boeschen

Esther Lorraine Boeschen, 86, of Stover, passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021, at EW Thompson Health and Rehabilitation Center in Sedalia.

She was born August 27, 1935, in Cole Camp, daughter of Calbert Bush Sr. and Pearl (Braden) Bush.

On May 12, 1951, she was united in marriage to Marvin E. “Bud” Boeschen. Bud preceded her in death on February 23, 2018.

Esther was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Stover. She worked for Hagedorn’s Sundry and Smithson Quilting Factory. She was an excellent cook and pie maker, and kept an immaculate house. She enjoyed playing pitch and pinochle. She was a very kind-hearted, loving person who loved to do for others.

Surviving are three children, Ronnie Boeschen and his wife Marsha of Sedalia, Gary Boeschen and his wife Cheryl of Sedalia, and Stacey Kwiatkowski and her husband Randy of Montgomery, AL; six grandchildren, Matthew Boeschen, Melissa Guffin, Jason Boeschen, Michael Boeschen, Alexis Brown and Dakotah Kwiatkowski; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Calbert “Junior” Bush and Ronnie Bush; and two sisters, Bonnie Johnson and Judy Liebl.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tiffany Boeschen; a brother, Jerry Bush; and a sister, Joyce Kranz.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, December 12, 2021, at Heckart Funeral Home in Sedalia, with Rev. Randy Fischer officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time Sunday at the funeral home.

A private burial will be in Stover Cemetery.
