In Loving Memory…

Maxine Warren

Maxine Warren, 87, of Green Ridge, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center.

She was born October 31, 1931, in La Monte, daughter of Floyd and Hattie (Pummill) Brownfield.

On May 20, 1949, in Sedalia, she married Stanley R. Warren, who preceded her in death on August 5, 1997.

Maxine and her husband owned and operated Warren’s Grocery in Green Ridge for many years. She enjoyed working in her yard and garden. Mostly, she enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a loving, caring mother and grandmother, and a special “Memaw” to her great and great-great-grandchildren. She was always willing to give a helping hand to anyone. She will be greatly missed.

Surviving are two sons, Donald Warren (Lorretta), of DeSoto, and Ronald Warren, of Green Ridge; three grandchildren, Aimee, Kim (Bobby) and Bryan (Robin); six great-grandchildren, Ayanna, Tera, Caleb, Madison, Lacey and Carson; and two great-great-grandchildren, Acesyn and Kingstyn.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Frances Warren; four brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 30, at Heckart Funeral Home, with Rev. John Streit officiating.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 29, at Heckart Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Show-Me Christian Youth Home or to a charity of the donor’s choice.

For the services, the family requests casual dress.
