Marjorie E. Linhardt
Marjorie Ellen Mosier Linhardt, 98 years old, passed away Friday, June 11, 2021 at Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg, Missouri. She was born July 24, 1922 in Syracuse, Morgan County, Missouri, the daughter of Emil and Carlola Vandalia (Dale) King Mosier.
Marjorie and Ralph Oscar Linhardt were united in marriage on April 15, 1944 by Pastor William Bessmer at the Immanuel United Church of Christ in Sedalia, Missouri. Unto this marriage is born one son, Ralph Wayne Linhardt.
Soon after marrying Ralph, they became members of Immanuel United Church of Christ in Sedalia, Missouri. She was a strong Christian and loved her church. She was a very active member of the church, belonging to many groups, fulfilling numerous church duties and was a part of the church choir for many years.
After her marriage, Marjorie worked at Town & Country Shoe Factory and was Secretary for Ralph at the Standard Oil Bulk Plant in Sedalia, Missouri. She volunteered at the Open Door Ministries in Sedalia, Missouri for many years. After moving to the farm, she spent hours working in her flowers and big garden, canning and quilting. She worked with 4-H club and was involved in the Quisenberry Community activities.
Preceding Marjorie in death were her husband, Ralph Oscar Linhardt, her son Ralph Wayne Linhardt, her parents Emil and Carlola Vandalia (Dale) King Mosier, her sisters Delphia Mosier Self and Dorothy Belle Mosier Glass Brubaker, and her brothers Leo Adelbert Mosier, Loua Bradley Mosier, Amil J. Mosier, William (Bill) Adam Mosier, Francis Mosier, Sr., Richard Vinson (R.V.) Mosier, and Norman Ray (Bud) Mosier.
Marjorie is survived by her daughter-in-law Linda Linhardt of Clinton, Missouri, grandson Michael Linhardt and wife Tiffany of Athens, Georgia, and grandson Jason Linhardt of Warrensburg, Missouri. She is also survived by one brother, Wilber Lee Mosier of Sedalia, Missouri, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Leora Bremer officiating.
For everyone’s safety, there will be no visitation, however, friends may sign the register and pay their respects from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Heckart Funeral Home in Sedalia, Missouri.
Memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel United Church of Christ Memorial Fund or Open Door Ministries, both of Sedalia, Missouri, in care of Heckart Funeral Home.
